So one excursion that we signed up for was to visit Oxford and Stonehenge. So while in London we hopped on our bus the morning of day three. We arrived in a quaint, yet extremely historical english town of Oxford, the home of the prestigious Oxford university. We ventured around the town a little before our tour of the "New College". Can you say stunning? Because that's exactly what the architecture is, absolutely stunning. You know this University has been around for ages and ages, like since 1096. Wow. So much history around every corner. Ou guide told us stories about how C.S. Lewis thought up the idea of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe while at the campus, all because of a lamppost seen in the snow and a carved door with the face of a lion. Interesting right?!
Well from Oxford we traveled to Stonehenge. Now, when we arrived we took a shuttle up to the rocks and all i kept thinking that never ever in my life did I think that I would be here staring at some of the most famous iconic rocks in the world. You see them in magazines and you hear about them in school and on TV, but less than 50 yards from me were those same rocks that have been there for thousands of years. Such a cool moment.
